തദ്ദേശ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നെഗോഷ്യബിൾ ഇൻസ്ട്രുമെന്റ്സ് ആക്ടിന് കീഴിലുള്ള എല്ലാ സർക്കാർ, അർദ്ധ-സർക്കാർ, വാണിജ്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്കും അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ ഉത്തരവായി.
ഡിസംബർ 9ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരം, കൊല്ലം, പത്തനംതിട്ട, ആലപ്പുഴ, കോട്ടയം, ഇടുക്കി, എറണാകുളം ജില്ലകളിലെ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്കും ഡിസംബർ 11ന് തൃശൂർ, പാലക്കാട്, മലപ്പുറം, കോഴിക്കോട്, വയനാട്, കണ്ണൂർ, കാസർകോട് ജില്ലകളിലെ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്കും അവധിയായിരിക്കും.
നേരത്തെ ഡിസംബർ 2ന് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച ഉത്തരവിൽ സർക്കാർ ഓഫീസുകൾ, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ, സ്വകാര്യ മേഖല എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ജില്ല തിരിച്ച് അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
Local elections: Holidays declared, orders issued
The state government has declared a holiday for all government, semi-government and commercial institutions under the Negotiable Instruments Act in connection with the local body elections.
There will be a holiday for institutions in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts on December 9, and for institutions in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts on December 11.Earlier, in an order issued on December 2, holidays were declared for government offices, educational institutions, and the private sector on a district-by-district basis.
