Edmonton Malayali Association inaugurates Malayalam learning centre
Edmonton: Canadian MP Siad Abulthaif inaugurated the Malayalam language learning centre, launched by the Edmonton Malayali Association (NERMA), by lighting the lamp. This learning centre will be a new guide for Malayalam learning for Malayalee children in Edmonton.
Edmonton City Councillors Tim Cartmell, Ranjit Singh Bath and Banisha Sandhu offered their best wishes at the opening ceremony. In addition, Malayalam Mission Director Mr. Murugan Kattakada and Malayalam Mission Canada Coordinator Mr. Joseph John Calgary extended special wishes for the event through video messages.
NERMA officials said that this learning center will become a milestone for the Malayalam community in Edmonton and will play a crucial role in passing on the language and culture to the next generation.
