നിലവിൽ നഗരപ്രദേശത്തെ 39770 ഉം, ഗ്രാമീണ മേഖലയിലെ 27602 ഉം ഉൾപ്പടെ ആകെ 67322 എഫ്ടിടിഎച്ച് കണക്ഷനുകളാണ് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് ഉള്ളതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഭാരത് സഞ്ചാർ നിഗം ലിമിറ്റഡി( ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ) ന്റെ രജത ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി വിപുലമായ ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ തിരുവനന്തപുരം സർക്കിൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ 25 വർഷം പൂർത്തിയാക്കുന്ന 2025 ഒക്ടോബർ ഒന്നിന് വൃക്ഷത്തൈ നടീൽ ക്യാമ്പയിൻ, ഒക്ടോബർ നാലിന് പെയിന്റിംഗ് മത്സരം, ഒക്ടോബർ അറിന് രക്ത ദാന ക്യാമ്പ്, ഒക്ടോബർ 19 ന് മിനി മാരത്തോൺ എന്നിവ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും.
തിരുവനന്തപുരം സർക്കിളിൽ 5.7 ലക്ഷം ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ ഉപഭോക്താക്കളാണ് നിലവിൽ ഉള്ളതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് 743 സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ 4 ജി സേവനം ലഭ്യമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 4 ജി സമ്പൂർണ്ണത പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ ഗോത്ര വർഗ്ഗ മേഖലകളിൽ 27 സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ 4ജി ലഭ്യമാക്കി. 83 ടവറുകൾ പുതിയതായി സ്ഥാപിക്കുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഫ്രീഡം പ്ലാനിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിൽ 17,225 പുതിയ ഉപഭോക്താക്കൾ ബിഎസ്എൻഎല്ലിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി. തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ, നെടുമങ്ങാട് മേഖലകളിൽ എസ്ഡിസിഎകൾ പരമ്പരാഗത കോപ്പർ അധിഷ്ഠിത ടെക്നോളജിയിൽ നിന്നു പുതുതലമുറ ഒപ്റ്റിക്കൽ ഫൈബറിലേക്കു മാറിയതായി അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
ഭാരത് നെറ്റ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി തിരുവനന്തപുരം ബിസിനസ് മേഖലയ്ക്ക് കീഴിലെ 73 ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തുകളിൽ എഫ്ടിടിഎച്ച് കണക്ഷനുകൾ നൽകിയതായി അദ്ദേഹം അറിയിച്ചു. പിന്നാക്കം നിൽക്കുന്ന മികച്ച വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് FTTH കണക്ഷനുകൾ സ്പോൺസർ ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിക്കുന്ന വിദ്യാ മിത്രം പദ്ധതിയെ കുറിച്ച് പി ജി നിർമൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചു.
എഫ്ടിടിഎച്ച് ഉപഭോക്താക്കൾക്ക് 354-ലധികം ലൈവ് ചാനലുകൾ ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന ഐഎഫ്ടിവി സേവനങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം പരാമർശിച്ചു. ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ ഹോട്ട്സ്പോട്ടുകൾ ഉള്ള എവിടെ നിന്നും വീട്ടിലെ വൈഫൈ സേവനം ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്ന റോമിങ് വൈ-ഫൈ സേവനം, എഫ്ടിടിഎച്ച് കണക്ഷനുകൾ വിദൂരമായി മോണിറ്റർ ചെയ്യുന്ന ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം സർക്കിൾ വികസിപ്പിച്ച TR069 സംവിധാനത്തെ കുറിച്ചും പി ജി നിർമൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചു.
വികസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വ്യവസായ സാഹചര്യത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് മനുഷ്യവിഭവശേഷിയെ പ്രാപ്തമാക്കുന്ന ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ സംരംഭമായ- കൗശലം -വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കും ജീവനകാർക്കും ഒരുപോലെ പ്രയോജനകരമാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. കെഎസ്ഇബിൽ, തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ ജീവനകാർക്കും,വിടിഎം എൻഎസ്എസ് കോളേജ്,ഡോ. പല്പു കോളേജ് ഓഫ് ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസ്,കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക പരിസ്ഥിതി കൗൺസിൽ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കും പരിശീലനം നൽകാൻ പ്രൊപോസൽ നൽകിയതായി അദ്ദേഹം അറിയിച്ചു. വ്യവസായ സംരംഭങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരൊറ്റ കുടകീഴിൽ പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്ന ഇന്റഗ്രെറ്റഡ് ബിസിനസ് സൊല്യൂഷൻസിനെ കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം വിവരിച്ചു.
സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യകതകൾ, വലുപ്പം, നിലവിലുള്ള ടെലികോം അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യം എന്നിവയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള പരിഹാരങ്ങളാണ് ഇതിലൂടെ നൽകിയത്. സിഡാക് തിരുവനന്തപുരവുമായി സഹകരിച്ച്, മധ്യപ്രദേശിലെ അംലോഹ്രി ഓപ്പൺകാസ്റ്റ് കോൾ മൈൻസിൽ, ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ സ്റ്റാൻഡ്-എലോൺ (എസ്എ) ഓൺ-പ്രിമൈസ് (ഓൺ-പ്രിമൈസസ്) 5G സ്വകാര്യ നെറ്റ്‌വർക്ക് (സിഎൻപിഎൻ) കമ്മീഷൻ ചെയ്തതായി അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ബിഎസ്എൻഎൽ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള തിരുവനന്തപുരം ബിസിനസ് മേഖലയിലെ 51 സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ 13866 ചതുരശ്ര മീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണം വാടകയ്ക്ക് ലഭ്യമാണെന്നും പി ജി നിർമൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ഹൈ സ്പീഡ് ഇന്റർനെറ്റ് കണക്ഷനുകൾ, 4G മൊബൈൽ സേവനങ്ങൾ, ഡിജിറ്റൽ സൊല്യൂഷനുകൾ എന്നിവ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്കായി പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കും, പ്രത്യേക ഓഫറുകളും സ്കീമുകളും ലഭ്യമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രവേശനം സൗജന്യം. 2025 ഒക്ടോബർ 4 ന് മേള സമാപിക്കും.
BSNL Thiruvananthapuram Circle to celebrate 25 years with major service expansion:FTTH connections in Thiruvananthapuram district to touch one lakh this year
konnivartha.com: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will mark its Silver Jubilee year with a series of celebrations while rolling out major service expansions in the Thiruvananthapuram Circle, including plans to scale up Fiber to the Home (FTTH) connections in the district to one lakh within this year. This was announced by Principal General Manager P. G. Nirmal while addressing the monthly Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) meeting held at the BSNL office, Statue, Thiruvananthapuram.
Currently, there are 67,322 FTTH connections in Thiruvananthapuram district, including 39,770 in urban areas and 27,602 in rural areas. FTTH services have also been extended to 73 gram panchayats under the Thiruvananthapuram Business Cloud as part of the Bharat Net project.As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, BSNL will organize a series of programmes, including a tree plantation campaign on October 1, a painting competition on October 4, a blood donation camp on October 6, and a mini marathon on October 19. Nirmal highlighted that BSNL currently serves 5.7 lakh customers in the Thiruvananthapuram Circle. 4G service has been extended to 743 locations across the district, including 27 tribal areas under the 4G Saturation project. Installation of 83 new towers has also been planned to strengthen the network. He added that 17,225 new customers have joined BSNL in the district under the recently launched Freedom Plan. The SDCAs in Attingal and Nedumangad have already migrated from traditional copper-based technology to next-generation optical fiber.
Nirmal also explained various initiatives of BSNL, including the Vidya Mitram project that sponsors FTTH connections for meritorious students from backward classes, IFTV services offering more than 354 live channels to FTTH customers, and the roaming Wi-Fi facility that allows home Wi-Fi services to be accessed at BSNL hotspots. He further mentioned the TR069 system developed by BSNL Thiruvananthapuram Circle to remotely monitor FTTH connections.
Speaking on human resource development, he noted the role of Kaushalam, a BSNL initiative designed to align training with the evolving industrial landscape. A proposal has been submitted to extend training facilities to employees of KSEBL, Travancore Devaswom Board, and to students of VTM NSS College, Dr. Palpu College of Arts and Science, and Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. He also elaborated on BSNL’s Integrated Business Solutions, which support industrial enterprises by providing telecom services tailored to their size, requirements, and existing infrastructure.
Nirmal informed that in collaboration with C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram, India’s first Stand-Alone (SA) On-Premise 5G Private Network (CNPN) has been commissioned at Amlohri Opencast Coal Mines in Madhya Pradesh. He further clarified that 13,866 sq. m. of space across 51 BSNL-owned locations in the Thiruvananthapuram Business Area is available for rent.
