konnivartha.com; കേന്ദ്ര കൃഷി – കർഷക ക്ഷേമ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന് കീഴിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ശ്രീകാര്യത്ത് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന കേന്ദ്ര കിഴങ്ങുവിള ഗവേഷണ സ്ഥാപനം നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന കിഴങ്ങുവിള വിത്തു ഗ്രാമം പദ്ധതിക്ക് പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ കോന്നി ബ്ലോക്കിന് കീഴിലെ പ്രമാടം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിൽ തുടക്കമായി. പ്രമാടം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് എൻ. നവനീത് പദ്ധതി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.
ചടങ്ങിൽ കേന്ദ്ര കിഴങ്ങുവിള ഗവേഷണ സ്ഥാപനത്തിലെ പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ സയൻറിസ്റ്റും പ്രോഗ്രാം കോർഡിനേറ്ററും ആയ ഡോ. കെ. സുനിൽകുമാർ അധ്യക്ഷനായി. കൃഷി അസിസ്റ്റൻ്റ് ഡയറക്ടർ ഷെറിൻ മുള്ളർ, ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് മെമ്പർ തങ്കമണി, സ്വദേശി ശാസ്ത്ര പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിൻ്റെ കോഓർഡിനേറ്റർ ഓമനക്കുട്ടൻ എന്നിവർ ആശംസ പ്രസംഗം നടത്തി. ചടങ്ങിൽ കൃഷി ഓഫീസർ ആരതി. ജെ സ്വാഗതവും കേന്ദ്ര കിഴങ്ങുവിള ഗവേഷണ സ്ഥാപനത്തിലെ സീനിയർ ടെക്നീഷ്യൻ ഡി. ടി. റെജിൻ നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു.
കൃഷിവകുപ്പ്, തദ്ദേശീയ സ്വയംഭരണ വകുപ്പ്, സ്വദേശി ശാസ്ത്ര പ്രസ്ഥാനം എന്നിവയുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെയാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യ ഘട്ടമായി പ്രമാടം പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത പട്ടിക ജാതിയിൽപ്പെട്ട കർഷകർക്ക് പരിശീലനവും ഉൽപാദനോപാധികളും വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. ഉൽപാദനോപാധികൾ ആയ നടീൽ വസ്തുക്കൾ, വളങ്ങൾ, പണിയായുധങ്ങൾ, ജലസേചനതിനുള്ള ഹോസ്, സൂക്ഷ്മ മൂലകങ്ങളുടെ ലായനി എന്നിവയാണ് വിതരണം ചെയ്തത്.
കിഴങ്ങ് വിളകളുടെ ഗുണമേന്മയുള്ള നടീൽ വസ്തുക്കൾ ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള വിത്ത് ഗ്രാമമായി പഞ്ചായത്തിനെയും തുടർന്ന് കോന്നി ബ്ലോക്കിനെയും വികസിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യമാണ് പദ്ധതിക്കുള്ളത്. ഉല്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വിത്തുകൾ കേന്ദ്ര കിഴങ്ങുവിള ഗവേഷണ സ്ഥാപനത്തിൻ്റെ അംഗീകൃത ലേബലിൽ വിൽക്കാനും ഈ പദ്ധതി സഹായിക്കും. പട്ടിക ജാതി ഉപപദ്ധതി (SCSP) യുടെ ഭാഗമായാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നത്. തുടർ പരിശീലനങ്ങളും മൂല്യവർധനവ്, വിപണനം എന്നിവയിലും കർഷകർക്ക് സഹായം ലഭിക്കും.
Tuber crops seed village programme inaugurated at Konni
konnivartha.com; ICAR–Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (CTCRI) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in association with the Agriculture Department, Swadeshi Science Movement and Local Self Government Department (LSGD), launched the Tuber Crops Seed Village Programme in Konni Block, Pathanamthitta district. As part of the initiative, a training programme and input distribution ceremony were held on 8th October 2025 at Pramadom Krishi Bhavan.
The programme was inaugurated by Gram Panchayat President N. Navneeth. Dr. K. Sunilkumar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CTCRI, and Nodal Officer, Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) Programme, presided over the function. Agriculture Officer Arathi J. welcomed the gathering, while felicitations were offered by Konni Assistant Director of Agriculture Sherin Muller, Ward Member Thangamani, and Omanakuttan. Senior Technician of CTCRI, D. T. Rejin, proposed the vote of thanks.
As part of the programme, farm implements, irrigation hoses, fertilizers such as urea, Rajphos, potash, micronutrient solutions (Micronol), and planting materials were distributed to selected Scheduled Caste beneficiaries. Officers Nijamol and Rohit from the Krishi Bhavan also participated in the event.
The Tuber Crops Seed Village Programme aims to develop Konni Block as a major seed hub for tuber crops. The initiative focuses on training farmers in quality seed production to ensure sustainable cultivation and enhance the productivity of tuber crops in the region.
