ഇതിനുമുമ്പ്, വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻ്റെ ഇന്തോ-പസഫിക് ഡിവിഷനിൽ അണ്ടർ സെക്രട്ടറിയായി സേവനം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഹംബൻടോട്ടയിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ കോൺസൽ ജനറലായും കൊളംബോയിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹൈക്കമ്മീഷൻ, വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിലെ അമേരിക്കാസ് ഡിവിഷൻ, പ്രവാസികാര്യ വിഭാഗം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും വിവിധ പദവികൾ വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

സിവിൽ സർവീസസിൽ ചേരുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ്, അദ്ദേഹം മർച്ചൻ്റ് നേവിയിൽ മറൈൻ എഞ്ചിനീയറായി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Dipin P.R, IFS assumes charge as Head of Office in Regional Passport Office, Cochin

Dipin P.R, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Officer of 2017 batch, has assumed the charge of Head of Office in Regional Passport Office, Cochin, with effect from 21st October, 2025. He hails from Kalamassery, Ernakulam District.

Prior to his current posting, he served as Under Secretary in the Indo-Pacific Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). He has also served as Consul General of India, Hambantota and has held assignments at High Commission of India, Colombo, Americas Division and the Diaspora Engagement Division of the Ministry of External Affairs.

Before joining the Civil Services, he served in the merchant Navy as a Marine Engineer.
