മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ പ്രവാസി സംഘടനകളും മലയാളി കൂട്ടായ്മകളും കൈകോർത്ത “സ്നേഹകവചം” സംഗമം നോര്‍ക്ക റൂട്ടസ് റസിഡന്റ് വൈസ് ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ പി. ശ്രീരാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. സാമ്പത്തികമായി പിന്നാക്കം നിൽക്കുന്ന മുബൈയിലെ 50 മലയാളി കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് നോര്‍ക്ക കെയര്‍ പദ്ധതിയിൽ ചേരുന്നതിനുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായമായി 6,70,550/- രൂപയുടെ ചെക്ക് പ്രിയ വർഗ്ഗീസ്, എം.കെ നവാസ് എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുളള “കെയർ ഫോർ മുബൈ” സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടന പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ നോര്‍ക്ക റൂട്ട്സ് ചീഫ് എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഓഫീസര്‍ അജിത് കോളശ്ശേരിക്ക് കൈമാറി.
അഞ്ച് കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉള്ള നോർക്ക കെയർ കാർഡുകളും ചടങ്ങില്‍ പി. ശ്രീരാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. തീരുമാനം മാതൃകാപരമെന്നും സാമ്പത്തികമായി പിന്നാക്കം നില്‍ക്കുന്നവരെക്കൂടി നോര്‍ക്ക കെയറിന്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യംമെന്നും ചടങ്ങില്‍ പി. ശ്രീരാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. മറ്റ് മലയാളി കൂട്ടായ്മകളും സമാനമായ രീതിയില്‍ പ്രവാസികളെ പിന്തുണക്കുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അദ്ദഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. നോര്‍ക്ക കെയറില്‍ സ്വയം അംഗമാകുന്നതിനൊപ്പം മറ്റുളളവരെക്കൂടി ചേര്‍ത്തുനിര്‍ത്തുന്നതിനുളള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ കൂടി ഉണ്ടാകണമെന്ന് ചടങ്ങില്‍ മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ച അജിത് കോളശ്ശേരിയും വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
നവി മുംബൈ റമാഡ ഹോട്ടലില്‍ നടന്ന സ്നേഹകവചം സംഗമത്തില്‍ നോര്‍ക്ക കെയര്‍ പദ്ധതിയില്‍ അംഗമാകുന്നതിനുളള ഗ്രൂപ്പ് രജിസ്ട്രേഷന്‍ നടപടികള്‍ നോര്‍ക്ക റൂട്ട്സ് ഹോം ഒതന്റിഫിക്കേഷൻ ഓഫീസർ ഷെമീംഖാൻ എസ്. എച്ച് വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ലോക കേരള സഭ അംഗങ്ങള്‍, 60 മലയാളി സംഘടനകളില്‍ നിന്നുളള പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ എന്നിവരും ചടങ്ങില്‍ സംബന്ധിച്ചു. മുംബൈ എന്‍ ആര്‍.കെ ഡെവലപ്പ്മെൻറ് ഓഫീസർ റഫീഖ് എസ് ചടങ്ങില്‍ സ്വാഗതം പറഞ്ഞു. ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിന് (ഭര്‍ത്താവ്, ഭാര്യ, 25 വയസ്സില്‍ താഴെയുളള രണ്ടു കുട്ടികള്‍) ₹13,411 പ്രീമിയത്തിൽ അഞ്ച് ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ ആരോഗ്യ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സും 10 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ ഗ്രൂപ്പ് പേഴ്സണല്‍ അപകട ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് പരിരക്ഷയും ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതാണ് നോര്‍ക്ക കെയര്‍ പദ്ധതി. നവംബർ ഒന്നു മുതൽ നോര്‍ക്ക കെയര്‍ പരിരക്ഷ പ്രവാസികേരളീയര്‍ക്ക് ലഭ്യമാകും. സാധുവായ നോര്‍ക്ക പ്രവാസി ഐ.ഡി, സ്റ്റുഡന്റ് ഐ.ഡി. എന്‍.ആര്‍.കെ ഐ.ഡി കാര്‍ഡുളള പ്രവാസികള്‍ക്ക് ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 22 വരെ നോര്‍ക്ക കെയറില്‍ അംഗമാകാം.

To promote the Norka Care Health Accident Insurance Scheme, a Norka Care precautionary gathering – Sneha Kavacham was organized in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The “Sneha Kavacham” gathering, in which expatriate organizations and Malayali groups in Maharashtra joined hands, was inaugurated by Norka Roots Resident Vice Chairman P. Sreeramakrishnan. Representatives of the “Care for Mumbai” NGO led by Priya Varghese and M.K. Navas handed over a cheque of Rs. 6,70,550/- as financial assistance to 50 economically backward Malayali families in Mumbai to join the Norka Care scheme to Norka Roots Chief Executive Officer Ajit Kolassery. P. Sreeramakrishnan also distributed Norka Care cards to five families at the event. P. Sreeramakrishnan said that the decision is exemplary and the aim is to make the economically backward people a part of Norka Care. He said that other Malayali groups will also support expatriates in a similar manner. He also clarified that he hopes to do so. Ajith Kolassery, who delivered the keynote address at the event, also clarified that in addition to becoming a member of Norka Care, efforts should be made to involve others.
At the Snehakavacham Sangam held at the Ramada Hotel in Navi Mumbai, Norka Roots Home Authentication Officer Shameem Khan S. H explained the group registration procedures for becoming a member of the Norka Care scheme. Members of the Loka Kerala Sabha and representatives from 60 Malayali organizations also attended the event. Mumbai NRK Development Officer Rafeeq S welcomed the event. The Norka Care scheme ensures health insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs and group personal accident insurance cover of Rs. 10 lakhs for a family (husband, wife, two children below 25 years of age) at a premium of ₹13,411. Norka Care cover will be available to non-resident Keralites from November 1. Non-residents with valid Norka Pravasi ID and Student ID. NRK ID card can become a member of Norka Care till October 22.
